After defending my PhD in May 2024, I spent 129 days hiking the Pacific Crest Trail! Of the 2650 miles of trail, I was able to hike about 2300. The remaining 350 were closed for wildfires around the time I was passing through, but I plan to tick those miles on a future section hike!
