Hiking

I am an avid hiker and enjoy long-distance backpacking. Beyond the occasional weekend trips, I also enjoy much longer efforts. I’ve managed a couple hikes in the 100+ mile territory.

After defending my Ph.D. in May 2024, I spent 129 days hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. Unfortunately, I missed some sections in NorCal due to wildfire closures, but I plan to tick those miles on future section hikes!

In 2025, I hiked (most of) the Tour du Mont Blanc, missing some miles in Italy and Switzerland from an untimely bout with norovirus.
